Igne are seekingan experienced **Accounts Assistant** to join the team in **Gillingham, Kent**.

- and post-construction services. Igne’s six service categories are: site investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, water wells, geothermal, and geo-environmental.

This is a **full-time **role working 37.5 hours each week. Igne operates **hybrid working** in line with our commitment to supporting a positive work-life balance for our employees.
**Responsibilities**:
- Raising the following in the Finance System Evision:
New Project details
Contract Sales Orders
Application for Payments
Contract Sales Invoices
Purchase Orders
Purchase Invoices and checking their validity against the Purchase Order
Sundry Sales Invoices
Credit notes
- Creating new Customer and Vendors in the Finance System
- Running debtor reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing Credit Card expenses and ensuring all relevant receipts have been provided
- Preparing and issuing statements as necessary
- Maintaining credit control operations in collaboration with colleagues as appropriate to ensure swift resolution of any required actions
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Running a VAT return
- Running a Supplier payment run
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**
- A good understanding of Sales Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Credit Control
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and suppliers
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
**Desirable**
- AAT qualified or working towards
**Salary & Benefits**:
- Salary on offer is £26,000 - £30,000
- We operate a hybrid model (minimum 3 days in the office)
