Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
We have an opportunity at our ERF in Dunbar for a Fuel Reception Operator to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday on a earlies and lates shift pattern.
The salary for this role will be **£34,889.00 **per year, inclusive of shift allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.
The Fuel Reception Operator is a vital part of the operations team, predominantly responsible for the fuel reception at the ERF and other plant areas.
**Your duties will include**:
- Traffic management,
- Operating heavy plant and overhead cranes,
- Forklift trucks and any other machinery as required in accordance with ERF procedures.
- Additional duties may comprise of weighbridge operation, plant checks, site cleaning duties and Tipping Hall management.
- Handling the fuel reception process and bunker management out of hours and during off-peak times.
**Our ideal Fuel Reception Operator will have**:
- Experience in the operation of mobile plant.
- Lifting / Slinging, plant or FLT certification.
- Experience of safe systems of work, permits for Work, procedures, risk assessments and associated safety documentation.
- Engineering, Technical or Operational qualification.
- Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
