Elcom Networks is seeking experienced and qualified Civils Operatives to join our growing team in Scotland on a self-employed basis. As a Civils Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out street works and related tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Long term opportunity for the right individuals

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform street works and civil engineering tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Excavating and backfilling trenches.
- Installing and repairing underground utilities (e.g., water, gas, electric).
- Operating and maintaining machinery and equipment.
- Setting out and leveling sites.
- Laying kerbs and paving.
- Traffic management and control.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Be comfortable utilising specific software to record any work undertaken

**Requirements**:

- Clean UK driving license.
- NSRWA LA, 01-08,
- SA006
- Emergency First Aid.
- Confident in street works
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Prepared to work overtime and have flexibility to work unsocial hours.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
