This is an exciting opportunity to join this leading retailer in a brand new role made to support the marketing function and understand the impact of their work Share your insights to senior stakeholders and drive changes across the business's marketing.

**THE COMPANY**:
This is a leading distributor of tools and equipment to a varied client base. They are in the middle of a digital and data transformation, having rebuilt their data warehouse and made data the heart of their business. They now want the analytics team andthis role to provide the business key insights that will help drive them forward in the best direction

**WHAT WILL YOU GET TO DO?**

As the Marketing Data Analyst, you will be joining the wider analytics as well as reporting to the Director of Data. You can expect to:

- Work daily with SQL for analysing complex and large datasets, particularly marketing and customer data
- Use customer data to identify relevant personalised campaigns in relation to different customer demographics
- Use segmentation analysis to guide marketing in the targeting of their campaigns in the most appropriate way
- Analyse the multi-channel customer journey including digital and CRM to understand loyalty, acquisition and retention of customers
- Share insights and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders and influence business decisions

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU**
- Have previous marketing analytics experience
- SQL proficiency for working with large volumes of different types of data
- Data visualisation experience
- Excellent communication for liaising with stakeholders and for working with others

**WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?**
- Base salary up to £42,000 (very top of band) + wider benefits package
- Hybrid working, preferably heading to the office 2 days a week but there is flexibility here to minimum twice a month
- This is a brand new role, so there'll be lots of autonomy and ability to determine projects and affect change in the business
- There is lots of untapped data and therefore opportunity to be really creative
