**Reports to**: The General Manager & HR Manager
**Your Primary Purpose**
The HR Administrator role exists to support the business in ensuring HR across all departments of the business is carried out efficiently, proactively and in line with data protection legislation and to be the first point of contact for employment related queries.
To set up best practice work systems and HR processes with all relevant supporting documentation and templates as required to ensure the business is meeting all of its employment legislation requirements.
As this is a stand-alone HR Administrator role, you will need to be willing to operate alone, and therefore be happy to do all the administration work associated with setting up an HR function, as well as being highly organised and resourceful.
**Key Responsibilities**
- To work closely with our General Manager and our retained HR Manager, providing weekly updates and progress reports
- Be the HR point of contact for all the employees and to protect the interests of the business when providing HR advice to resolve day to day employee queries or employee relations issues.
- Create, issue and follow up on all contracts and other formal documentation associated with employee terms and condition and HR Compliance
- Being an advisor to managers on low level disciplinary, grievance and attendance matters, including generating the required documentation, and note taking at HR meetings
- Ensure HR records and policy documents remain up to date and compliant
- Proactive in the recruitment process across the hotel including management of job posts, interviews and offers of employment
- Carry out any checks that may be required, including reference checks and right to work checks
- Onboarding of new starters, including liaising with them in their first few days of employment and maintaining regular contact throughout their probation period
- Process leavers documentation, including exit interviews
- Ensure all filing, electronic and physical, is completed diligently and kept up to date
- On complex ER issues, involve our HR Consultant who can assist and support
**Your Skills and experience**
- Experience of working in a stand-alone administrative HR Role is essential
- Strong communication skills, ability to influence across all levels of the organisation, with a consultative approach
- Credibility and confidence to talk to all levels of employees within the businesses and promote trust between HR and the team
- Professional and flexible approach
- Team player who can work effectively and within an efficient manner
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Confident, enthusiastic and a patient individual with a “can-do” attitude
- Attention to detail able to produce high quality of work consistently
**Education / Qualifications**:
- CIPD Level 3 qualified
- 1 year’s experience within an HR administration role
**Salary**: £10,200.00-£13,000.00 per year
