Machine Operator

**Description**:
The role will involve operating mobile and static machinery; enabling the processing manufacture of our wood based products. Other duties will include; safety awareness and general housekeeping.
In this role you will be required to work 4on and 4off one week days and one week nights.

This shift will be required to work 4on 4off - One week days, one week nights

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Maintenance**:

- Conduct daily and weekly checks on machinery and plant.
- Perform refuelling, lubrication, and greasing as needed to maintain operational standards.
- Promptly record and report any defects or breakdowns to ensure timely resolution.

**Production Reporting**:

- Accurately report daily production output and any downtime to the Site Manager for review and action.

**Work Environment**:

- Maintain a safe and organised workspace, ensuring walkways and emergency exits are free of obstructions.
- Always use the appropriate safety equipment and PPE.

**Incident Reporting**: Immediately report:

- Non-conforming wastes or contamination delivered to the site.
- Accidents, incidents, near-misses, environmental hazards, and health & safety breaches to the relevant manager.

**Continuous Improvement**
- **Training**: Undertake necessary training to expand capabilities, including the operation of additional machinery or equipment.
- **Audits & Checks**: Conduct random checks and audits on machinery under your remit to ensure compliance with operational standards.

**Flexibility & Business Continuity**
- Cover other operational roles as needed to ensure the continuity of business activities.
- Engage in manual handling tasks to assist with waste management activities.

**Health & Safety**
- Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as that of colleagues potentially affected by your work actions.
- Actively identify and report unsafe conditions to foster a safe workplace culture.
- Adhere to the company’s management systems, safe systems of work, and legal requirements.
