**Do you want to help promote the independence and well-being of young people?**

Care Supply Pool has an exciting and unique opportunity currently available to Support a Children's outreach service in Neath. In this role you will be working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure that all the Children's needs are met.

This outreach service provides a mixture of therapeutic and rehabilitation care for young boys & girls aged between 16 - 18 years old. The home provides support to children on a short, medium and long-term basis.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals that want to enhance the lives of these young people and help them develop the skills they will need into adulthood whilst creating some amazing memories along the way**.**

**Salary**: £19,760 - £21,840 per year

**Location**: Neath

**Hours**: Flexible working hours
- To support the young person in their daily routines
- Planning and sourcing activities
- Helping them find work
- Source educational courses
- Encourage the young person to try new activities and foods through cooking workshops
- To promote the health, well-being, safeguarding and wishes of the young people
- Work in cohesion with the company’s policies and the home's statement of purpose.

**You’ll be working with children who may have a range of behaviours, including**:

- Social and emotional difficulties
- Challenging and/or aggressive behaviour
- Have previously failed in other placements
- Have traumatic pasts and suffered physical, sexual or emotional abuse
- Misused drugs and alcohol

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (required)
- Support Environment: 1 year (required)

**Qualification**:

- QCF level 2 Health & Social Care in Children & Young People (required)
- QCF level 3 Health & Social Care in Children & Young People (preferred)
- Driving licence with business use (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £19,760.00-£21,840.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Neath, Neath Port Talbot: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Support worker: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
