**The Company**:
Part of a Multi-National Group, Mitsui Components Europe Ltd are an established, world leading manufacturer of high specification door locking systems for the automotive industry.
**The Role**:
We are looking for an **Accounts Assistant** to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is responsible for the efficient and timely administrative support for the finance department.
**Salary**:Competitive (Based on experience)
**Working hours**:Monday -Thursday 08:00 - 16:45, Friday 08:00 - 13:30
**Holidays**: 25 days plus usual statutory
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Processing of all UK and foreign supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements to the ledger, arranging supplier payment runs and payment of employee expenses.
- Processing of weekly and monthly payrolls. Ensure all third parties, including Revenue and Pensions, are paid in a timely manner.
- Maintain cashbooks (GBP & Euro).
- Complete key monthly control account reconciliations including all payroll related and other balance sheet controls
- Assist Finance Manager in the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
- Assist the Finance Manager with Year End procedures and processes including preparing schedules for audit.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Participate in the development of department objectives and policies.
- Provision of ad hoc financial reporting and tasks as required.
- Ensure deadlines are achieved and work is undertaken to the standards set by the Finance Manager.
- AAT qualified
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Good literacy skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Sage payroll
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to work independently, prioritise work to meet competing deadlines, as well as being able to work with all levels of an organisation.
