This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketing professional to join the University on a full-time permanent basis to help us become sector leading in our approach to student recruitment.
The post holder will be responsible for producing a range of professional, high quality and effective marketing content and material to help build relationships with prospective students throughout the student recruitment journey. You will also support colleagues with producing the undergraduate and postgraduate course information aimed at prospective students.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is essential for this post.

Purpose of the Job
This post will support the development and delivery of a range of content which will creatively and effectively tell the brand story of Bangor University in a student recruitment context and will be responsible for developing online content that supports the student recruitment journey. This content will include written narrative, long and short, video and photography. It will need to be designed for use across a variety of on and offline media and it will need to be adapted and tailored to target specific audiences. You will also support the updating and development of course information online. The role will be key in supporting the University to raise awareness of who and what Bangor University is, making it relevant for a Welsh, English and a wider UK audience. The postholder will need to be engaged with other areas of the Directorate including communications, recruitment, international and alumni, to support and integrate with their aims and objectives.
Main
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce accurate, informative and interesting content for a range of marketing campaigns, which will include copywriting, editing and proof reading.
- Support with the updating and maintaining the undergraduate and postgraduate on-line course information for the University website and external websites.
- Support the creation of visual content including video and photographs which tell the University story and which comply with and support the University Corporate Identity.
- Produce accurate and up-to-date information about the University and our courses for internal and external webpages/sites.
- Produce marketing assets as required by the line manager, ensuring that the assets produced reflects the University’s marketing and brand strategies, and complements/supports other marketing and recruitment activities and material.
- Work with colleagues to monitor campaigns and activities to ensure ROI and engagement levels.
- Work with colleagues and external partners to co-ordinate and maintain digital engagement campaigns and activities.
- To work with colleagues and assist with the production, provision and maintenance of high-visual assets for student recruitment purposes.
- To work with external agencies to produce marketing assets and collateral.
- To deliver regionally relevant social media content.
- Network across the HE sector to ensure awareness of competitor behaviour and to respond accordingly.
- To support the Clearing process as part of the wider recruitment team.
- Provide cross-section support on events and activities in relation to UK recruitment and widening participation, including attending open and offer holder days, UCAS fairs and delivering presentations where required. This will involve staying away from home and will involve working some evenings and weekends.

**Responsibilities**:
- The post holder will be expected to participate in performance review and developmental activities.

- Qualifications/Training_
EssentialDesirable- Undergraduate degree.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience/Knowledge_
Essential- Experience of producing marketing material/assets with good copy-writing, proof-reading, editing skills and strong grammatical skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
- Understanding of digital marketing and how this contributes to the marketing communications mix.
