A growing HR consultancy business is looking for an additional HR Consultant to help cover the **Somerset / North Devon / West Dorset region**. You will based somewhere in this region. The role is predominantly home-based; however, the employee will be required to undertake appropriate travel for client meetings and as otherwise associatedwith the role.
The role of HR Consultant is a flexible and varied role, which involves providing outsourced HR support to their clients. Their clients include small businesses across a range of sectors and other organisations such as charities, who typically do not havean internal HR department.
This role will predominantly involve supporting with employee relations matters, HR document drafting and review, and responding to day-to-day HR queries. No two days are the same due to the variety of clients that they work with Opportunities to supportother specialist projects (such as pay and reward, organisational development and training delivery) are also likely to arise from time-to-time.
This role has arisen due to growth of the business. The successful applicant will act as an ambassador for the business, and will have the potential to contribute to their future growth strategy.
**Hours of work** to be agreed with successful applicant, with opportunities for flexible working. As an indication, working patterns could be:
- Three days per week 09:00 - 17:30 (one hour lunch unpaid) or Five days per week 09:30 - 14:30 (30-minutes lunch unpaid). The role equates to 0.6 of a full week (22.5 hours)
**Main Responsibilities**
- Supporting employers with employee relations matters - to include advising on process, and where appropriate, undertaking disciplinary, grievance and appeal investigations and hearings.
- Drafting and reviewing HR documentation, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, and other associated policies and procedures.
- Responding to day-to-day employer queries regarding HR matters.
- Building trusted relationships with their clients, identifying opportunities to provide proactive HR support appropriate to their business needs.
- Supporting specific, specialist projects in-line with customer need. Please note that such projects will be allocated depending on the skills and experience of the role holder.
- Administration tasks associated with the provision of the Company’s products and services.
- Working with the Managing Director to contribute to the Company’s growth strategy.
- Other duties as reasonably required.
**Training & Development**
The role holder will be provided with work time to attend events and undertake other CPD activities relevant to their role. Knowledge gained by all colleagues from CPD activities will be shared internally.
There will also be an opportunity to build networks across the South West HR Community.
You will have your own car and appropriate mileage will be paid for any travel associated with the role.
