**Salary**: AM2 £73,453 - £78,798 pa depending on skills and experience [_note: for senior research professors working effectively at a higher grade, in line with their research track record, the ADRE appointment is negotiable at a higher grade]_

**Annual Leave**: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- This is a fantastic opportunity to join the University of Hertfordshire at an exciting time during the implementation of our new Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme, which will enable the University to further support the urgent regional and national need for more medical professionals.
- As one of the top 25% of universities in terms of research impact, the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences will allow us to build on our proven research successes, across the breadth of disciplines within the School and open up significant new research opportunities and funding streams within medical, allied healthcare, and life sciences.

**Skills and experience required**
- You will also have significant experience of research or commercialisation, and knowledge transfer with a track record of delivering outputs and impact as well as securing funding appropriate to your field. Experience of successful collaborative working internally and externally, building partnerships with key partners is also essential.

**Qualifications required**
- You will have a Doctorate or equivalent level of training and experience
- An appointment to this role may require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate._

**Workload Allocation**
- The post of Associate Dean (Research and Enterprise) is a full-time (1.0 FTE) tenure (5-year fixed term) post with an expectation that 0.2 FTE is allocated for the postholder’s own Scholarship, research, and/or enterprise activity. The University’s job share policy[1] should be consulted if an individual wishes to express an interest in a job share. After the 5-year term, a decision will be made about whether the post-holder will return to their substantive position (if applicable), a further fixed-term arrangement can be agreed or, whether the post will continue on a permanent basis.
