As this role is working in the warehouse and yard, you’ll often be working outside, so this is a great job for people who love to be outdoors. Full workwear and PPE is supplied.

What will I be doing?
As a Yard Supervisor you will be a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in supporting management to supervise the branch yard team. You will also be expected to make sure your team are fully compliant with best practice Health and Safety processes whilst working towards Branch Sales and profit targets. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;
- Responsible for a team of 4 plus 2 drivers
- Champion Health & Safety, working to risk assessment, policy and procedures
- Supervise all aspects of our yard team to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
- Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Fork Lift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders to support the branch team, as and when required
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
Hours of work: 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday plus every other weekend 8am - 12pm.

Training will be offered to obtain your Fork Lift Truck licence.
