**THE ROLE**: We're looking for an associate (2-5 years pqe) to join our high performing and busy non contentious financial services regulatory team. Your role will be to support partners whose practices primarily include private equity and private funds and retail wealth and investments. There will also be the opportunity to work on a broad variety of financial regulatory matters including in relation to insurance distribution and wholesale banking and prudential regulation. This is a front-line role with lots of client contact. Anyone taking up this opportunity can expect to work closely with clients that are key to the team and to the firm. We work collaboratively and constructively, and we keep pace with our clients deals, ensuring we add genuine value when our clients need it most. This is a dynamic and growing area of our regulatory practice which requires strong commercial and analytical skills and an ability to work closely with our corporate and commercial colleagues. We are looking for someone with not only solid regulatory experience (appropriate to their level of experience), in matters ranging from pure advisory matters (including in relation to COBS, CASS, MiFID and AIFMD) but also an understanding of the one or more of the private equity/private funds and wealth management sectors. Experience in the drafting of customer terms and/or commercial contracts would be helpful but is not essential. Our clients include leading PE houses, investment platform infrastructure providers, aggregators, custodians, wealth managers, advisers and brokers and SIPP providers, and the investment divisions of banks and building societies, both traditional and innovative. A commitment to providing technically excellent and commercially sound advice is key. There are real prospects for growth and career progression for the right person. **THE TEAM**: Financial services is a common thread running through the majority of Addleshaw Goddard practice areas. Our FR team is independently recognised as first rate and having _"client focus and a pragmatic approach in complicated situations"_. We roll our sleeves up and get stuck in. No ivory towers here The wider FR team advises a wide range of businesses, including consumer finance, mortgages, retail banking, payments (including crypto), general and long-term (investment) insurance distribution, pensions, funds, capital adequacy and wholesale banking.
