**Overview**
We are currently recruiting for a Handyman/ Assistant Facilities Co-Ordinator to support the delivery of Facilities Services on a static manufacturing-based site located in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, UK. The site is one of Fifteen key manufacturing sites located across EMEA, LATAM and APAC.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (Duties)**
- To undertake general handyman duties and general site maintenance tasks to a plan and as required.
- To undertake reactive breakdown activities within your area of capabilities where needed across the site.
- Responsible for maintenance standards and reporting on the contract.
- Work with the relevant operational teams to ensure service delivery across full ranges of services is continually improving.
- Support in the management of contractors, identifying compliance gaps and working to support solutions.
- Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, develop effective working relationships with business partners, suppliers and contractors.
- Manage and escalate failings in the implementation of RAMS
- Support Health, Safety and Quality related near miss / accident / incident investigations
- Identify any personal development needs
- Identify any further training required by our management teams
- Manage reactive requests for service with supply chain associated to the site
- Manage effective Help Desk Operation where required.
- Contribute to all Management initiatives, as specified in our policy, which are appropriate to the job.
- Carry out any other reasonable management request.
**Qualification and Training Requirement**
Essential qualifications and training:
- Trade qualification or relevant experience applicable to role.
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Solid experience in working across multi maintenance disciplines.
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Extremely organized with good communication skills.
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience of managing contractors within a facilities management environment
- Full Driving License required
**Salary**: Up to £28,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
