We are currently recruiting for two enthusiastic and innovative Learning Response Coordinators who have a passion for patient safety incident investigation and learning.

You will need to be enthusiastic, resourceful and motivated individual to join our quality governance team as a Learning Response Coordinator. Working as part of the Quality Governance Team, you will support the Patient Safety Specialist to provide Trust-wide oversight, assuring quality and effectiveness of all types of investigations as part of the Trust’s annually agreed Patient Safety Incident Response Plan (PSIRP) as required within the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.

As a Learning Response Coordinator you will support Learning Response Leads within the Trust to undertake learning responses to incidents, including systems-based patient safety investigations.

You will achieve this by working with a range of internal and external stakeholders including patients and their families to investigate and analyse through the collation of evidence and findings using the agreed methods within the Trust’s PSIRF. This will result in the identification of systems learning that will then guide sustainable risk reduction and service improvement.
