**About the Role**

We are looking for a Family Time Officer to join our team in Redcar, providing vital support to children, young people, and their families who require social care intervention. You will be responsible for supervising Family Time sessions, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all involved.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise Family Time sessions, observing and assessing parent/carer-child interactions and providing reflective discussions.
- Transport children to and from Family Time sessions as required.
- Maintain professionalism at all times, particularly in challenging situations, while building positive relationships with children and families.
- Prepare safe and engaging environments with appropriate toys and equipment for Family Time sessions.
- Work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet service demands.
- Identify and manage risks while ensuring children and young people have a positive Family Time experience.
- Keep accurate records of all interventions, updating reports and ensuring information is recorded effectively in the Council’s ICT system.
- Support the wider Families Together Service to provide a high standard of care to children, young people, and their families.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Experience of working directly with children and families.
- Experience of managing and resolving conflict.
- A relevant qualification in social care, child development, or a related field.
- A working knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
