Patient Care Administrator

Auchinraith Medical Practice are looking to recruit a full time Patient Care Administrator who can commit to 37 hours per week, there is also an option to work your hours over 4 days i.e. 8am - 6.00pm with a day off each week. If this was a preference the day off would be the Wednesday for this post.
**Main duties**
- To provide support in all aspects of reception and administration duties to allow staff to operate efficiently and effectively, including providing cover for other members of the team as appropriate.
- Greet and receive patients promptly and courteously
- Answer telephone clearly and politely
- Establish patient’s needs and deal with their requirements effectively and quickly
- Use the VISION appointment system efficiently and effectively training will be provided however, applicant must have a high level experience using computer software.
- Process repeat prescriptions & and for non-repeat prescriptions. Training will be provided.
- Contact patients, hospital secretaries and other agencies as requested by doctors
- Enter patient data into computer system
- Deal with laboratory results as per practice protocol
- Use the DOCMAN system to file and retrieve information. Training will be provided.
- Use DOCMAN system to inform patients of results as per GP instructions
- Scanning documents into patient records
- Liaise with the practice doctors, practice nurses, district nurses, health visitor and midwife.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,000.00-£24,001.00 per year
