We are looking for a Clinical Performance Lead to join our team of CPLs in providing expert clinical advice and support to our Disability Assessors completing work capability assessments for employment and support allowance and universal credit.
**Position**:
As a **Clinical Performance Lead (CPL) **for IPRS PFAS, you will carry out WCA assessments (Face to Face, Telephone, Video) and produces consistent, concise reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). In addition to carrying out assessments a CPL provides clinical coaching and mentoring to new and tenured HCPs, typically in his/her assessment centre. The Clinical Performance Lead supports in delivering quality, productivity, and applicable service level targets by providing clinical expertise and judgment on WCA reports. The **Clinical Performance Lead** is called upon to provide Stage 3 training to new hires and ongoing informal ‘on the job’ training to new hires, case review and ‘on the spot’ coaching to new and tenured HCPs and may be required to deliver classroom training to new HCPs.
As a **Clinical Performance Lead**_ _**for IPRS PFAS, you will be responsible for maintaining your own clinical quality and productivity whilst providing expert clinical advice to a team of healthcare practitioners** **including:
- Mentoring and coaching of HCPs in the centre and be the first point of contact for clinical questions and issues.
- Escalates clinical questions through appropriate channels and communicating resolution back to the HCP team
- Analyses and interprets clinical information and medical evidence and provide a report in a professional and concise manner.
- Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims
- Liaise with Clinical Manager and Head of Quality to develop and embed best practices
- Attendance at Stakeholder and Customer meetings as required
- Carry out case reviews and provide ‘on the spot’ feedback to tenured HCPs
- Provide Stage 3 training to new HCPs as required
- Provide training to new HCPs as required and provide feedback for any Approval related audit and New Entrant Audit when received from suppliers
- Provide support for HCPs in responding to complaints
**Requirements**:
To be seriously considered for the role of **Clinical Performance Lead**, please have the following:
**Qualifications**
- Working as an Approved registered healthcare practitioner within Work Capability Assessments [nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist] with at least 2 years working in that role
- Able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both medical colleagues and administrative support staff
- Complies with all applicable continuous professional development requirements
- Able to effectively coach and mentor HCPs to improve / maintain performance standards
- Able to ensure that professional practice standards and “best practice” are maintained in all areas of work
- Able to deliver productivity and quality standards agreed between the Centre and the DWP and to respond positively to feedback
- Qualified to deliver Stage 3 training.
- Qualified to perform quality audits and able to provide instruction on how to write reports that meet A grade requirements.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able to understand, anticipate and meet immediate and medium-term customer and client needs.
- Able to collaborate effectively with others to drive a culture of excellence in quality and performance.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, adapt communication to audience needs, and able to interact constructively with a range of audiences.
- Able to maintain a professional demeanour in stressful interactions.
**Experience**
A Registered Nurse, physiotherapist or occupational therapist with at least 2 years' experience working as an Approved Disability Analyst delivering work capability assessments for Universal Credit or Employment and Support Allowance.
**Knowledge**
To have knowledge and experience of stage 3 mentoring.
**Skills**
Desirable but not essential
- Trained in delivering Paper Based Assessments
- Trained in completing WCA Audits

**Salary £54,000 per annum**
**Location Hybrid Croydon area**

**Hours 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday**
