**What the job involves**
Our high performing Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds through a range of fundraising activities such as Sporting Events (Third party and bespoke), ‘organise your own activity’ (Community) across walking, golf, treks and cycle rides, in addition to a collection of charity-owned products developed in-house - The Month Series and the Big Golf Race.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our established, experienced and successful community fundraising team. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other. We’re enthusiastic, open, supportive and driven. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion to achieve success.
You will be a customer-focused individual who has a talent for cultivating relationships and have an eye for spotting new opportunities. You will also be a pro-active individual who has the drive to grow and develop particular income areas.
To do this, you’ll have first class relationship building skills, excellent writing skills and the ability to truly connect with supporters through emotive and compelling interactions - both verbal and written. You’ll be working with supporters over the phone, online, face-to-face and in writing. You will help donors receive the ultimate supporter journey and the get the absolute most out of their fundraising experience.
You’ll also contribute significantly to identifying new trends and testing ways to grow engagement and understanding of our supporters. You’ll work with your manager to develop and deliver our plans.
You will have the energy and passion to provide crucial input to this sector-leading team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to grow, develop and gain valuable skills and experience in a fundraising role within a progressive and innovative organisation. You will be part of a passionate team fighting to stop prostate cancer from being a killer.
