**Job Profile**

As a Community Fundraising Executive in CAFOD’s Supporter Fundraising section, you will be responsible for promoting CAFOD’s fundraising initiatives to Catholic community groups - focusing on parishes. The post is fundamental to inspiring support and building lasting relationships between CAFOD and these audiences.

The Community Fundraising team is responsible for the continuing development of CAFOD’s community and parish fundraising programme through mailings, paid advertising and digital channels and the engagement of an extensive network of local volunteers. This includes both Family Fast Day appeals, other parish fundraising schemes and emergency appeals.

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with a can-do attitude who has experience managing multiple deadlines simultaneously and working with a range of stakeholders. Working day to day without supervision, you will be expected to resolve everyday challenges and obstacles independently. You will be confident making creative and data-led recommendations and have the ability to inspire a faith-based audience to support our work.

The post is based within the Community Fundraising team and reports to the Head of Supporter Fundraising. The post holder will also need to build excellent working relationships with other teams across CAFOD - especially those in Supporter Fundraising, Theology, Communications, Supporter Care, Donations Processing and Regional Teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Fundraising materials production**:

- Work alongside CAFOD’s in-house editorial, design and digital staff to commission and deliver high-quality fundraising and engagement materials (online and offline) for parishes and other community groups. This includes Family Fast Days, other parish fundraising schemes and initiatives.
- Prepare and agree objectives and briefs, taking responsibility for liaising with all stakeholders to support this. Ensure stakeholders are provided with all the required information for the successful delivery of appeals and campaigns.
- Create regular printed and online updates for parish scheme members (based on regular giving communications, trip notes and partner updates).
- Rapidly create and send out emergency appeal materials to parishes in line with CAFOD’s emergency appeal process and the DEC.
- Contribute to the development of briefing and training materials for parish fundraising volunteers, liaising closely with staff who lead in volunteer management. Occasionally assist with the delivery of briefing and training sessions at Supporter Days when necessary.

**Digital communications**:

- Ensure opportunities for digital engagement on parish fundraising are developed and parish engagement online feeds CAFOD’s overall digital development
- Keep the Parish Fundraising webpages engaging and up to date, in line with CAFOD’s corporate priority plan.
- Contribute to the development of a digital communications plan alongside the Digital team in support of parish fundraising during relevant corporate priority periods. Where appropriate, create engaging content for the CAFOD website and social media.
- Attend regular training and troubleshooting sessions with the Digital team.

**Internal communications**:

- Coordinate an internal communications plan for each Family Fast Day, including staff fundraising opportunities, staff briefings and reporting back.
- Update CAFOD’s intranet in regard to Family Fast Day, parish and community fundraising and stewardship, and emergencies.

**Planning**:

- Work to and meet income targets agreed with the Head of Supporter Fundraising. Manage expenditure to allocated budget responsibly.
- Play a leading role in the planning, development of fundraising strategies and plans for Catholic parish communities involving key stakeholders.
- Develop an annual plan of activity in line with overall strategy and in consultation with other teams, fundraising staff and volunteers. This will involve consultation with appropriate internal stakeholders to build shared ownership of plans

Monitoring, analysis and evaluation
- Develop appropriate reports, monitor campaign results and provide updates on performance of fundraising materials.
- Work with Data and Insight to develop and update existing reporting mechanisms and to produce post-campaign analysis reports.
- Make recommendations to improve the performance of future campaigns
- Provide briefs for the collation and mailing of parish fundraising packs to external fulfilment agencies working with the Data and Insight team. Use segmentation tools to ensure parishes receive the correct materials.
