A leading creator of architectural furniture and office spaces are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join their team based in Hemel Hempstead.

As the Stock Controller you will oversee stock components for projects and liaise with suppliers for all products to purchase. You will also use all available information to reduce their stock situations by keeping up to date with market trends, checking new orders on arrival and liaising with sales to discuss quoting and seasonal variation.

**Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Stock Controller will**:

- Reconciling the stock valuation at the monthly stock counts
- Work closely with procurement to coordinate what is required to be purchased and the product quantities
- Management of reorder levels and reorder triggers
- Liaising with warehouse in regards to stock levels, seasonal demands, and pricing
- Set up stock levels, processes, and records for new products
- Negotiate best prices on all products
- Product related assessments
- Find new suppliers
- Updating warehouse weekly with deliveries due in for the following week
- Any other tasks as requested by management team

As the Stock Controller you will be required to work full time in the head office based in Hemel Hempstead with the working hours of Monday - Friday (7:30 - 4:30). You will also need to have:

- Experience in stock control and purchasing in a manufacturing business
- Ability to work within deadlines in a very fast paced environment and cope under pressure
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- CIPS qualification an advantage
