Robert Half is recruiting an Interim Stock Controller for our SME client in Hemel Hempstead. This position should last around 6 months.

The position of Interim Stock Controller will be extremely hands-on, it will require somebody with over 10 years experience within an SME type of environment, completely owning the Stock Management process from start to finish.

**Your main duties will be**:

- Processing weekly shop stock takes: Investigate discrepancies with Area Managers and make corrections accordingly. Make recommendations for improvements to the current process.
- Daily stock investigations: Shops request ad hoc checks if they identify differences. Investigate and correct. Make recommendations to improve the current process and implement.
- Involvement in roll-out of warehouse perpetual stock take, with recommendations.
- Investigate warehouse picking list differences
- Daily concession file processing: Any issues are investigated and followed up internally and with the concession.
- Tracking supplier returns and chasing up.
- Reconciling goods in notes against invoices received.
- Reconciling Drop Ship stock movements and supplier statements
- Various ad hoc tasks as and when the business requires
- Liaising closely with our warehouse

**Person Specification**:

- Microsoft Office in particular Excel
- Ability to gather large volumes of data from various sources and analyse
- Willingness to acquire a great deal of knowledge quickly
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision and think logically
- High standards of communication (written and oral), accuracy and numeracy
- Must be flexible, a good team-worker with inter-personal skills
- Must have good organisational skills

The position of Interim Stock Controller will be paying up to £60k on a daily rate basis, due to the nature of the role you will be required to mainly work on-site, although occasional hybrid working may be available.
