**Job Title: Payroll Manager**
**Job description**: To support a business focused payroll function, building strong relationships and working with stakeholders in the business whilst providing a professional service.
You will work as an integral part of the team providing service delivery support on all payroll and benefit matters, ensuring the processes and systems support the business and statutory requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to assist the Head of Payroll in driving through strategic change initiatives, including system reviews.
**Location: Warwickshire with hybrid flexibility**
**You will be**:
- Leading and contributing to specific strategic initiatives and projects, working with customers, partners and stakeholders to achieve aims
- Building effective relationships with stakeholderand supporting shared arrangements for services and systems
- Assisting the Payroll Supervisor in prioritising and allocating staffing to support the monthly and weekly processing requirements and target pressure points within the service
- Assisting in the review of the Payroll/HR & Time and Attendance systems, providing end to end experience and skills of a system implementation
- Managing the user testing process for patch releases/tax year updates for the Payroll and T&A software
- Responsible for the accurate and timely production of P11D’s
- Assisting in the production of the annual PSA and be responsible for payments and submissions to HMRC
- Providing support to the Payroll Administrators, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capability, to ensure the accurate and timely completion of P11D’s/P46 Car forms to employees and HMRC
- Responsible for the approval of all payrolls, third party and adhoc payments following the Payroll Supervisors review - ensuring a thorough check is undertaken prior to approval and ensuring deadlines are always met
- Reviewing third-party payments process to streamline and improve on current setups
- Reconciling HMRC accounts on a monthly basis ensuring payments, FPS & EPS submissions are accurate
- Reviewing and proposing changes to processes and working methods that will improve the efficient use of resources and the effectiveness of service delivery
- Ensuring GDPR regulations are adhered to ensuring secure maintenance of staff records including archiving and filing
- Ensuring a robust KPI process is available, with a view to improving standards and controls both internally and externally to Payroll
- Providing cover for other Head of Payroll in their absence
- Be a CIPP qualified professional (desirable)
- Have good experience of operating at a senior level
- Possesses end to end knowledge and experience of a Payroll/HR system implementation
- Have thorough knowledge of maintaining and producing P11D’s/P46’s
- Be able to lead strategic change through promoting and enabling a continuous improvement culture
