The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

- Reviewing daily reports on Group bank accounts
- Assistance with the deposit of client funds, to ensure that interest income is maximised - without breaching the agreed policy.
- Assistance with the forecast of cash payable and receivable, to establish trends and to ensure that Group borrowing costs are minimised - whilst adhering to a minimum liquidity level.
- Developing process manuals and policies for a wide range of banking and treasury tasks, and ensuring compliance with them.
- Monitoring and reporting on company cash flow in line with Group policies and investigate differences between expected and actual payments and receipts
- Ensuring that clear mandates exist, and implement policies for the inclusion and removal of staff members from these mandates.
- Process and post ad hoc payments
- Uploading details of payments and receipts to the relevant accounting software
- Reconciling bank statements and maintaining appropriate filing processes
- Reviewing bank balances against key parameters
- Managing direct debits and standing orders
- Gathering information in order to be able to estimate future cash balances
- Calculate & request annual dividend from entities up to parent company
- Dealing with internal stakeholders from all levels of the business, as well as liaising with external auditors and bank staff
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- A keen eye for detail, and to be able to methodically evaluate numbers and patterns
- The ability to manage time and prioritise effectively to work to deadlines
- Experience of developing process manuals and internal control documents within a banking and finance environment.
- The ability to maintain a robust system of record-keeping (both paper and electronic)
banking / treasury role.
