**Equans is looking for a Treasury Team Leader to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.**

The role holder will manage the external and internal financial operations of the Treasury function, ensuring correct separation of duties in line with external banking and internal control procedures.

Manage all payments to third parties including settlements for bank operations. Including daily cash management across all SAP entities for UKBU, ensuring they are properly forecasted and reconciled.

**What will you deliver?**:

- Lead SSC treasury activity including bank relationships, payment and cash allocation processes and debt servicing
- Ensure Treasury cash flow forecasting and reporting is accurate, prepared on a timely basis and cognisant of initiatives taking place within the business and within Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll. Implement a continuous improvement to cash flow forecasting capability
- Ensure all team members are fully engaged, utilised, trained and developed, thereby producing an efficient, motivated, and highly engaged team
- Manages all external and internal payments, exceptional operations (major transaction closings), and operational (payments to external suppliers and payroll)
- Liaises with external and internal counterparties for any administrative operation or document flow linked to financial operations. Files and maintains archives for all financial operations and statements
- Works with auditors for their regular investigations into accounts and financial operations
- Control automated cash pooling operations and executes manual account balancing or pooling operations with participating entities or the pool leader
- Controls and executes financial payments linked to exceptional operations (e.g. major transaction closings)
- Manages administrative operations or documentation linked to banking software
- Coordinates management of bank mandates

**Who are we looking for?**:

- Proven experience of working in a pressurised Treasury / Banking environment
- Experience of leading a team to meet deadlines, support improvements and develop new skills
- Excellent at managing relationships particularly with the business
- Proven record of delivering continuous improvement and driving change
- Possession of / working towards a recognised accounting or treasury qualification
- Ability to confidently challenge at senior levels within the organisation
- Extensive experience of online banking systems
- MS Excel at intermediate level
- SAP experience would be a bonus
