**Group Financial Controller** Our client is a relatively large, complex and profitable business, multi-faceted and historically embedded in the North East region, recently putting property investment and development at its core and still significantly invested in its more traditionalenterprises. It has £ten-figure net assets and generates £eight-figure profit before tax. We are looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller to this highly challenging and rewarding role. **_Reporting to and supporting the CFO, running robust finances day to day, planning, providing financial and risk management, leadership and control, ensuring targets are hit and results consolidated, your main responsibilities as Group FinancialController will include:_**: - Liaising with the CFO and CEO to ensure tax and all regulatory affairs are dealt with and reflected in all reporting requirements - Monthly, quarterly, year-end and forecasting and reporting - Reviewing all outputs and ensuring reporting deadlines are met - Reporting to the Audit Committee - Treasury and working capital and cashflow management - Liaison with external auditors - Investment appraisals and audits - Effective, friendly and efficient business partnering, providing accurate information to key stakeholders including scoping, appraising and managing ad hoc projects - Ensuring appropriate and up to date internal policies, protocols and procedures and financial controls and processes are in place and documented - Maximise the use of systems and challenge existing process to improve efficiency - Leadership, training and development of over ten staff **_As Group Financial Controller you’ll need: - ** - Strong leadership and managerial experience of working as a Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director or Finance Manager, especially gained working in larger, more or more complex "group" business. Demonstrablesuccess in system and process improvement also advantageous. - Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - Attention to detail, conscientious, organised and energetic - Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships - Excellent IT literacy - Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked **_ Benefits and rewards: - ** - Basic salary to £70-80k + pension + benefits - To secure maximum specified pay/rewards, you must possess all outlined experience, skills, qualification and knowledge - Mainly Newcastle/Northumberland office based role - Full time, permanent work Group Financial Controller, Newcastle/Northumberland
