You are invited to join an innovative and national award winning staff resilience hub, ‘Here For You’, to lead a new pathway delivering Patient and Staff Safety Incident (PSSI) support. This newly-funded support stream will offer psychological support and thinking to colleagues across EPUT and associated social care and charitable sector services. This service is part of a system-wide strategy to provide person-centred, holistic, trauma-informed responses to staff, enabling colleagues to sustain fulfilling, productive and purposeful working lives.
Initial work has been done within this work stream which has been highly valued, as shown by the current investment. This post is being recruited to alongside two other new posts in our Psychological Services Directorate focused specifically on provision of staff support following exposure to potentially traumatic and/or distressing circumstances at work. The successful applicant will therefore be joining at a pivotal stage for leading and shaping this new initiative.
This work stream within the wider staff support team will include; providing support leading up to and after coronial processes, offering and overseeing individual and team-based support following potentially traumatic work-based incidents, and delivering on longer-term resilience focused plans for teams affected by recurrent traumatic experiences.
To fulfil this role, you will be an enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or Senior Psychotherapist. The post holder will be responsible for leading the Patient and Staff Safety Incident support for staff across EPUT and the wider Essex system. Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, and with internal and external stakeholders, the role will involve setting the direction of the service, engaging the relevant systems and delivering a responsive and thoughtful service. The post holder will supervise other members of staff who are delivering serious incident support within Here For You and will have an opportunity to conduct clinical work alongside this leadership role.

**The post holder will be responsible for**:
- supervising other members of staff who are delivering patient and staff safety support within Here For You;
- working as part of the senior leadership team of Here For You and developing the direction of the service further;
- liaising with stakeholders across the Essex health and social care system to provide appropriate support to staff in partner organisations following patient and staff safety incidents;
- developing pathways both internally in EPUT and externally in order for support to be offered appropriately;
- contributing to the newly developed Trust wide structure with multidisciplinary colleagues in Safeguarding, Employee Experience, Human Resources and others in order to ensure swift and appropriate response from across departments to patient and safety incidents.
