Job Purpose:

- Perform processing duties listed in the daily/weekly/monthly task lists.
- Work with the Fund Accounting Oversight Team Leader and act as a liaison between HSBC when issues arise.
- Maintain records to enable regulatory checks to be made on the team's work and the information provided by HSBC as Fund Accountant.
- Assist the wider team on various ad hoc projects and following changes (e.g. new fund launches) facilitate the necessary amendments to the team's schedule.
- Deputise for the Team Leader when necessary.

Team responsibilities:

- Monitor trade flow between Northern Trust and HSBC to ensure the settlement cycle is complete.
- Update and distribute client supplied prices for hard to value assets to HSBC.
- Complete reconciliations between Charles River and HSBC to ensure the internal system is accurate.
- Update daily performance spreadsheets for Onshore and Offshore Funds.
- Distribute fund valuations to the investment teams.
- Inform external ACDs of trading activity.
- Arrange the setup of new securities with HSBC, ensuring all data is provided accurately.
- Complete a holdings reconciliation between HSBC Custody and Charles River data via a monthly holding check.
- Complete oversight checks on HSBC pricing via a fortnightly pricing check.
- Carry out the investment team's instructions regarding corporate actions, advising the custodian of voting decisions.

Education

Educated to at least A level or equivalent with good GCSE Maths and English.

Experience

At least 6 months experience in a role within the Fund Industry.

**Skills**:
PC Literate essential.

Intermediate Word and Excel skills required to include various excel functions such as macros and VLookups.
