**About us**
ICT supports service to all departments within the Council. To manage the diverse technological needs of a forward thinking and constantly evolving Authority. The Network and Communication team is responsible for implementing and supporting the network and telephone services across the Council.
**About the role**
Pay Details: Grade 6 SCP14 - 19 £25,409 to £27,852
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Barry
**Description**:
You will support and maintain as part of a team the Council WAN, LAN infrastructure across the Council. This will include switches, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls and VoIP technologies. You will be required to travel regularly to various sites throughout the County including schools and Council buildings. You will also have the opportunity occasionally to work from home depending on service requirements
**About you**
You will need knowledge and ideally experience in the following products:
- Aruba network products (switches, access points, wireless controllers and Central).
- Cisco network products (switches and routers).
- Cisco UC products (CUCM and Jabber).
- PSTN services.
- Firewalls.
- Web filtering software.
- PSBA network.
- Working with third party suppliers, such as BT.
- Structured cabling (design/supervisory role only).
