**Reporting Line**:
Business Analyst Consultants reports to the Head of Client Delivery for line management and to the appropriate Client Delivery Director for specific client assignments.

**Job Brief**:
As an Illuminet Business Analyst you will have a key role in capturing business?needs and identifying solutions to?business?problems. Leading the analysis process, engaging with and inspiring the client, studying the business model, examining workflows andtechnological systems. You will prepare and present recommendations for the client or Project Manager that will improve business efficiency. Solutions may include process mapping and improvement, organisational change, or strategic planning and policy development.

Illuminet Business Analyst Consultants are trained in the company’s products, tools and services to enable them to provide the very best service to our clients.

This is a key role within the Consulting team, working closely with clients, Project Managers, Illuminet’s Sales and Client Delivery Directors and associates, you will provide support and expertise in both pre-sales and delivery.

As such, the Business Analyst Consultant will support Illuminet’s ability to achieve or exceed growth targets in revenue and profitability.

- Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness with an ability to spot and promote opportunities.
- Strong relationship builder and manager, able to communicate effectively at all levels both, verbally and written.
- Excellent organisational skills including and the ability to meet deadlines and keep within scope, whilst remaining flexible.
- Able to facilitate effective meetings and workshops to obtain requirements.
- Willing to work hands on to deliver outcomes as required.
- Self-motivated with a tenacity and commitment to see things through to successful completion.
- Willing to travel to client offices and to Illuminet locations when required.
- Able to work as part of a team or on own.
- Adherence to the Illuminet Behaviours.
- Able to support the preparation of materials to present to the Consulting Team and/or Executive Committee on sales plans, new business and opportunities.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Minimum of 3 years working within Business Analysis.
- Strategic planning.
- Solid business and data analytical skills.
- Agile and Waterfall experience.
- Policy and process design.
- Degree level education an advantage.
- Problem solver and decision maker.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- An understanding of project management terminology and practices.
- An understanding of ITIL is desirable.
- Technically proficient in MS products including PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identifying and clarifying business needs and objectives.
- Analysing and defining functional and non-functional requirements.
- Specifying and documenting requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders.
- Clarifying the required scope of change.
- Requirements management and communication.
- Assisting with business case development.
- Using requirements to drive the design and/or review of test cases.
- Manage the level of risk.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.

**Governance and Compliance**
- Contribution to the development of the company’s policies, processes, procedures, products and services being delivered by Illuminet.
- Contribution to creation of client facing collateral for marketing or delivery purposes.
- Identify talented, skilled practitioners that can join the Illuminet Business Network. Helping to develop the Illuminet Business Network value to Associates/Suppliers and to illuminet.
- Produce regular project reports for Illuminet and the client.
