We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic media operator with excellent knowledge of the UK media and a track record of delivering positive media coverage to support campaigns and projects.

**The Role**:
**Oxfam GB is looking for a Press Officer** to deliver media projects in the UK and globally to achieve positive, high quality media coverage to support Oxfam's work. Working closely with colleagues you will develop long term media strategies across Oxfam’s humanitarian and campaigning agenda while seizing opportunities for coverage of our concerns whenever they arise.

Strong writing skills are essential as well as experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment. You should be a creative and strategic thinker with good influencing and negotiating skills.

**What we are looking for**:
As a Press Officer you will need:

- Experience of working with or in the media and an in-depth knowledge of UK media, with a strong news judgement and ability to maximize Oxfam’s impact through media coverage.
- Strong writing skills, and ability to produce media content for TV/Radio, print and online.
- Skills and ability to develop and deliver media strategies and contribute to communications and campaign planning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
