Contracts Manager

**Position**: Contracts Manager (Commercial Gas Industry)

**Location**: Blackburn/Preston

**Salary/Package**: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, Working Pension, 24 days holiday excluding Banks, Health Cover and £400 car allowance

**Working Hours** - 7:30am - 4:30pm, 1 hour for lunch (with flexibility) Overtime Paid - **Double Time all the time**

**Client**

A very well-established company providing quality gas appliance installation, servicing and maintenance. Our client base includes health authorities, local councils, education authorities and local businesses. My client specialise in all types of HealthSector projects, ranging from full ward refurbishments, change of use, general facilities and building maintenance. Heavy in Commercial/Industrial over domestic.

All Gas engineers are trained to deal with all types of commercial and industrial services, emergency breakdowns, scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and minor breakdowns.

**Purpose Of The Job**

To manage the Commercial Gas Service contracts and all Engineers, including assessing Quality of works, pricing up jobs, whilst holding a fantastic knowledge and understanding of Gas Safe Registration in numerous disciplines. As a service we provide a highquality and cost-effective Heating system maintenance and repair service to a range of customers. Main duties will be on the emphasis of servicing, repairing and installing gas, oil and solid fuel heating systems and plumbing works at various commercial propertieswithin The Companies area of operation.

This role is primarily(75% of the time) office based, but occasionally it will require travel throughout the UK, but again the majority of time within the North West, and up to Cumbria. Survice Contracts may take you to alternative locations such as Solihull& North Wales.

**You will manage the Service Contracts, and your Commercial Gas Engineers within them, whilst being the point of call to the Clients of those contracts.**

**The Engineers will perform the following duties on those Service Contracts**:

- Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of gas, oil and LPG fuel heating systems.
- Carry out other maintenance, repairs and remedial work as directed, including plumbing and controls etc.
- Carry out installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
- Complete works in accordance with the companies specifications and in compliance with the relevant legislation, relevant trade body and industry standards and best practice.
- Participate in an emergency 'out of hour's' service as required, including carrying out other multi skilled trades work where necessary.
- Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
- Work to operational and Health and Safety procedures, safe working practices and approved codes of practice as appropriate.
- Be responsible for completing dynamic risk assessments when arriving at site, checking that the safety of themselves and/or others will not be compromised by completing the task.
- To comprehensively complete required paperwork or electronic equivalent as appropriate

**You must have or hold**
- Full UK Driving Licence - No more than 6 pts
- HAVE a knowledge & understanding of Gas Safe Registration in the following disciplines: CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1, WAT1, OFT101, UDHW, OFT102, OFT105E, CIGA1, TPCP1A, ICPN1,

OFT600A, and Energy Efficiency for new boiler installs

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team, in a fast paced environment. Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage. Full training willbe provided where required.
