Equifind have partnered with an exciting financial services business who are searching for a financial controller to join the team on an interim basis.

You will support the finance team over the year-end and audit periods with financial statement preparation, as well as any other ad hoc requirements.

Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include but aren’t limited to:

- Take ownership for the statutory accounts preparation for multiple SPVs
- Manage the audit processes in respect of these SPVs
- Monitor trial balances and accounting entries as they are completed
- Prepare required information for all disclosures
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure statutory accounts are prepared in a timely fashion and review any queries accordingly
- Be a lead for the audit and manage requests from the auditors for the wider team
- Review draft statutory accounts and amend where necessary
- Ad hoc projects as and when requested by senior management

Experience & Qualifications
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5-10 years PQE
- Experience of Financial Services is desired
- Experience of reporting under IFRS is beneficial
- Experience of Microsoft dynamics
- Strong background in technical reporting or audit
- Strong communication & excel skills
- A proactive approach to work

About the business

An exciting financial services business with a focus all across the UK. The business has grown impressively over the last 20 years and has a strong name in the lending market.

The organisation has over 100 employees across numerous offices, but you will be joining the spectacular office located in the centre of London. The finance team has a very collaborative feel to it, so you will be working closely with your team-mates andacross the wider business as well.

We will be looking for someone who loves to interact with others and has a proven track record in being highly proactive to get their work done and assist others in the process.

This is a hybrid opportunity which requires you to be office based 2-3 days per week, but it will also offer flexibility when needed.

Rate/Salary

This exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £450-£550 per day depending on industry background and experience.

We see this role in London being 6-9 months in length.
