The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a People Advisor for an 18 month fixed term contract. This role will involve providing operational HR support to line managers and HR Business Partners.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Be the first point of HR contact for the business.
- Support with employee relations issues, including investigation notes and disciplinary follow-ups.
- Maintain HR records and generate reports on key metrics, e.g. turnover, absence, performance, etc.
- Support with recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
- Advise managers on performance reviews, development plans, and training needs.
- Support employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
- Identify and implement HR process improvements to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance.

**About You**

The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
- Experience guiding employees and managers through HR processes.
- Ability to resolve queries efficiently using HR case management systems and digital tools.
- Structured approach to prioritising case loads.
- Experience maintaining accurate employee records and generating HR reports.
- Proficient in using HRIS platforms.
- Knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition best practices.
- An understanding of reward & recognition strategies.

**Days/Hours of Work**

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00
