We are looking for a People Professional to join our busy team providing support to circa 250 employees as a People Advisor. This is a varied generalist role which will allow the opportunity to work on a wide range of People projects.

You will work alongside the People Manager and People Administrator in helping to create an environment which enables our people to thrive. You will do this by supporting and taking shared responsibility of the employment lifecycle. You will act as first line support providing an excellent service to our internal and external stakeholders.

- **You will**:_
- Act as first line support for employee and manager queries providing advice and guidance on a range of People policies and procedures.
- Responsibility for managing own employee relations case work whilst ensuring you provide fair and consistent advice and guidance.
- Support the People Manager and Group People & Culture Director with any ad-hoc requests
- Managing the absence management process within the Group, including supporting and coaching managers.
- Supporting and leading with the integration and aligning of People process and practices between the Group and a recently acquired company.
- Understand key people issues and identify ways in which to address such concerns.
- Support and encourage the development of strong relationships throughout the Group.
- Provide advice to ensure company compliance with the employment law, company and industry standards.
- Support the People Team with a variety of People related projects.
- Be an advocate for our company values, ensuring they are integrated into your day-to-day role.
- Support organisational change, restructuring and development where needed.
- Reviewing and keeping People documents up to date such as policies, processes and job descriptions.
- Maintaining and updating of People systems alongside the People Administrator
- **You will have**:_
- CIPD Level 3 in People Practice
- Generalist experience working within a busy People team at a similar level/role
- Experience of delivering exceptional customer service, providing first line advice and guidance to our employees and management team, actively seeking solutions to support at first point of contact
- Good understanding of HR processes/best practices and relevant legislation
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships
- Previous experience using People systems _(Desirable)_
- Experience working in a People team in a similar industry _(Desirable)_
- An approachable nature with great interpersonal skills and a strong communicator across the board
- The ability to manage own workload and have strong time management skills
- Be able to deal with ambiguity and challenge the status quo in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organiser and able to demonstrate initiative
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Excellent judgement, allowing you to resolve conflict
- Have commercial awareness and business acumen
