Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will work within our global corporate communications team and is responsible for developing and implementing a range of paid marketing strategies to support a portfolio of journals. Demonstrable experience of delivering first class paid digital marketing strategies across multiple channels is preferable.

**Location**:Manchester

This is a full-time in office role. The office is located next to Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Implement the paid social media strategy for a portfolio of key brands
- Implement the digital marketing strategy for a portfolio of key brands
- Support the development and implementation of always on campaigns
- Support the development and implementation of major campaigns
- Provide support to others across the business on digital marketing best practice
- Monitor and report on individual campaign performance
- Participate relevant team meetings on key topics related to workload
- Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio and others across the business
- Support key corporate campaigns, projects and platforms
- Population of weekly content calendar.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Academic degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Advertising (or related).
- Over 1 year of experience coordinating digital marketing activities for business.
- Good knowledge of key social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Knowledge of other channels is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager. Knowledge of other Ad Managers a plus.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Hootsuite, Falcon and Sprout OR Google Suite (GA4, Tag Manager, Search Consol) and data visualisation tools.
- Understanding of brand, communication, and digital marketing principles.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken); other language skills are beneficial.
- Good organizational, analytical and prioritization abilities.
- Interest in science and science communications.
