**Role: Head of Trading & Pricing**

**Location: Lancashire/remote**

**Salary: £65,000 - £70k plus excellent benefits**

**Summary**:
**Key responsibilities**:

- Formulating strategy, pre-and post-trade analysis, execution and settlement for TPI?s/ brokers
- Tracking and analysing wholesale energy prices including the ancillary markets
- Maintain procedures and documentation for trading/operations best practices
- Ensure all trading activities follow industry execution policies
- Responsible for demand forecasting and execution with industry
- Maintain and develop additional strategies for PPA, ROC, REGO, RGGO and GoO trading
- Automate processes through system development and technical solutions
- Ensuring Pricing Analysts create and set up new tenders in preparation for pricing
- Generating and submitting supply offers for fixed and flexible products
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Third Party Intermediaries
- Facilitating market access for smaller TPI?s to a variety of flexible electricity and gas products
- Undertaking internal analytics on non-commodity pricing components
- Preparing forecasts around future commodity and non-commodity costs

**Skills and experience required**:

- 10+ years? as a trader or risk manager for a Supplier or Consultancy in a procurement role.
- Educated to undergraduate degree level.
- Background in Electricity is vital, and Gas is also desirable.
- Sound understanding of the energy/contract products and energy trading.
- Prior experience with Power Purchase Agreements
- Familiarity with the process for shaping renewable export volumes into baseload
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and conversant with Microsoft Office.
- Astute commercial negotiator and strong organisation skills
