**Head Of Training - Lancashire Area £50,000 - £58,500 + Package**

Responsible To: Director of Human Resources

Liaises with: All Managers

MAIN DUTIES

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Deliver Training Management Programmes whilst building relationships with key stakeholders
- Organize in coordination with Director of HR and Department Heads approved cross-training.
- Develop strategies to maximize employee engagement with wellbeing programs and drive positive health and wellbeing outcomes for each of our pillars
- Develop plans to conduct needs analyses and in-house training on a regular basis.
- Design and oversee hotel training records or legislative on a regular basis.
- Develop tools and systems to ensure training and development programs meet the hotel’s objectives.
- Ensure that training and development are integrated into business plans and budgets, and targeted goals are identified and monitored.
- Take part in the preparation and planning of Training Department goals and objectives.
- Develop performance standards for operations in the Training Department.
- Assess work operations and prepare plans to implement change when required.
- Involved in the recruitment strategies as required
- Manage the planning and delivery of orientation programs.
- Ensure completion of performance appraisals and probationary reviews
- Implement appropriate management practices that provide team members motivation and communication.
- Ensure all reporting and servicing deadlines are met in a timely basis.
- Manage the completion of monthly and ongoing training reports.
- Deal effectively with guests and workplace colleagues from a variety of cultures.
- Be aware of duty of care, and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for all H&S monitoring, reporting and compliance training
- Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with property safety, current first aid and fire emergency procedures.
- To ensure that all associates have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Company’s Rules and Regulations.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to design and deliver training programmes as required
- Qualification in CIPD L&D -desired

QUALIFYING CRITERIA
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in L&D
- Previous experience and responsibility in identifying risk to the business and taking immediate action
- Able to demonstrate excellent organization, communication and planning skills.
- Able to demonstrate training expertise and attracting and retaining talent
- Good people management skills including recruitment, performance managing and appraising.
- Passion for achieving success
- Ability to take direction and being able to perform under pressure
- Positive attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
