Advanced are looking for a skilled customs and compliance manager to help us lead and showcase our excellence to our key customers across the business. You’ll be making sure the company is always fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevantbodies. This is a full-time permanent job opportunity working at our head office in Bradford, with the option of hybrid working a few days a week. You will be paid a competitive salary of between £60,000 - £65,000 per annum and be entitled to our bonus scheme.

Our Customs and Compliance Manager will work within our Freight Forwarding team and will work closely with our Key Account Managers to make sure they are trained to have the best knowledge and practices on HMRC compliance. You will be required to train ourcolleagues and then monitor performance of each of our bonded warehouse within the company group whilst paying close attention to make sure they are fully compliance with HRMC regulations.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities of our Customs and Compliance Manager**:

- To ensure that entries are transmitted to HMRC on time and in accordance with the deadlines set by the customer services and operations teams.
- To arrange, facilitate, document, report and follow up on all audits arranged by HMRC
- Monitor and record, by means of KPI’s, all internal AEO related paperwork.
- Responsible for checking all payments out of Advanced Supply Chain and Advanced Forwarding Deferment accounts within 48 hours of statement received
- Balance the Deferment statements monthly
- Control all stock movements within our warehouses for In and Out of Bond entries.
- You will be required to keep fully informed, and feedback to Advanced businesses, on all updates HMRC issue on BREXIT related matters.Advise and document how any changes will impact on Advanced businesses and their clients

**Requirements of our Customs and Compliance Manager**:

- Good knowledge of HMRC customs entry procedures
- Good knowledge on AEO requirements
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of CargoWise system would be preferred but not essential
