**Who are we looking for?**
We’re looking for two HR / Payroll and Operations Assistants with high level of IT skills and with the ability to utilise a variety of systems to provide support to the organisation by administering and co-ordinating end-to-end processes, ensuring records areaccurately maintained within the ERP system. This role is responsible for collecting, calculating and processing payroll data and resolving potential problems that might arise in the payroll service - logically, efficiently, accurately.
As the HR / Payroll and Operations Assistant, you will support the business by supporting employees with advice on a variety of enquiries including generalist HR Administration and Payroll Admin tasks. You will be working closely with Advisors and BusinessPartners and will need to operate within a wide variety of processes/policies.
You will be responsible for the monthly management of probation, half and off pay, missing sick notes and maintaining employee data in respect of annual leave balances and organisational restructures within the ERP system. A high level of customer service andattention to detail is required, alongside a strong understanding of GDPR Data Protection regulations.
**What will you be responsible for?**:
- Managing the end-to-end payroll system processes for all UKAEA employees within the ERP system.
- Co-ordinating a wide variety of payroll actions in line with fixed deadlines and governance requirements. Including calculating salary amendments, producing letters to confirm amendments and peer review of team pay actions.
- Managing the People Department service management system (helpdesk) on a rota basis. Ensuring queries are allocated and responded to in a timely manner and treated in accordance to GDPR regulations.
- The internal relocation process. Reviewing relocation claims from new starters, issuing relocation acceptance letters and guidance interpretation and advice within government guidelines. Calculation of relocation recovery for leavers, liaising with the Financeteam and employees with relation to salary recovery and repayment plans.
- Being the first point of support for new starters. Carry out new starter inductions, providing useful information on a variety of areas relevant to processes, systems, entitlements, benefits and pensions.
- Process Added years, AVCs, Partial Retirement and Retirement requests in line with UKAEA’s pension scheme regulations. Support and guide employees with pension related queries and calculations, liaising with the external pensions office.
- Process maternity, paternity, adoption leave and shared parental leave requests in line with UKAEA’s and statutory regulations. Support and advise employees on policies, calculations and entitlements.
**Qualifications**
**Essential skills, experience and competence required**:
- Payroll and generalist HR administration experience
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Competent IT skills and good knowledge of Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
**Desirable skills, experience and competence**:
- Level 3 CIPD
