The Finance Assistant will work as part of the wider Finance Operations team to provide an accurate and efficient treasury function for BSC companies.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis to SAP and Fidelo
- Reconciling differences should be investigated and cleared promptly
- Posting miscellaneous payments such as bank charges, merchant fees, interest and direct debits on a daily basis
- Posting receipts from students and customers to SAP and Fidelo
- Liaising with Accounts Payable to ensure that all other outgoing payments are posted on a timely basis
- Maintain good working relationships with both internal colleagues and banking partners, as well as Partner Agent
- Working closely with the Commercial team and the Admissions & Accommodations team, projecting a professional image of the Company at all times
- Preparation of operational cashflow forecast and actual files and preparation of reports for senior management
- Ensuring that liquidity is managed on a day to day basis between bank accounts
- Preparation of petty cash reconciliations and ensuring that all posts are made to SAP
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc reporting as required by the business
- Support the audit process as necessary
- Ensuring all processes and controls are documented and that sufficient controls are operated to ensure integrity of data and safeguarding of company assets.
- Provision of a draft cashflow forecast each week
- Any additional duties relevant to the role.
**Internal Communications**
- Provide support to all teams across BSC as required, keeping the teams regularly updated on pertinent information
- Maintain a sufficient product knowledge of BSC’s portfolio of products in order to best understand how the role supports the needs of the Commercial and Operational Teams

- Intermediate Excel skills
- Minimum of 2 years of prior cash-management/treasury experience within finance essential
**Desired Experience/Skills**:
- Process improvement experience a distinct advantage
- Previous experience in a multi stream business preferred
- Studying for recognized accounting qualification highly desirable
- SAP knowledge desirable but not essential
