An experienced Buyer is required to join an exciting new business venture, located in Macclesfield. Ideally you will come from a Tech / Electronics industry - with any experience of Building Services (heating / plumbing) a distinct advantage.

The role would suit someone looking to move into, or with experience of working in a Product Manager position.

The business has ambitious expansion plans so this is a perfect time to join.

You will be working directly with the Head of the organisation to formulate a product strategy within the company’s specific sectors and managing the purchasing process for their B2C customer base - there are plans to move into B2B sales areas in due course.

**Main Tasks**:

- Working with the MD to select new brands and products as part of our existing strategy
- Identify the correct suppliers to work with
- Negotiate prices
- New product uploads and sku / category management
- Pricing management
- Ensuring the products are delivered on time either to central warehouse or direct shipment
- Stock management and sales reporting
- Reacting to any changes in customer demand
- Evaluating purchase and introduction of new items
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers whilst seeking new ones
- Attending trade show events
- Keep up to date with market trends and react to changes in demand
- Present new product opportunities to the team

**Key Skills**:

- Commercial acumen
- Experience and knowledge in an Ecommerce environment ideally within Heating/Plumbing, Electrical or Consumer Electronics
- Purchasing, inventory and distribution management skills
- Managerial abilities and budgeting, forecasting and cost control skills
- Negotiation skills and ability to close business transactions
- Knowledge of administrative procedures relating to purchase orders
- Knowledge of regulations concerning commercial transactions
- Analytical skills
