This growth and continued client demand means we’re adding to our consultancy team with someone who can provide fire safety inspections, fire risk assessments and surveys; maintaining outstanding standards of fire safety across a wide variety of post-occupation scenarios. Whilst the role will be working remote and at our client sites, you will be required to attend the Birmingham office at least one day a week, along with other office locations as required.

In particular, you will:

- Conduct fire safety inspections, fire safety assessments, fire risk assessments, compartmentation surveys and fire door surveys within residential and commercial premises.
- Compile emergency response packs for secure information boxes including annotation of floor plans, production of key building information, and other information.
- Support with safety cases for high rise residential buildings, including gap analysis and assessment of building safety risks.
- Produce clear technical reports, risk action plans and recommendations; working closely with clients to ensure plans are actioned and necessary compliance and assurance reports can be published.
- Work with clients to develop effective fire safety management and emergency plans.

We expect a minimum of L5 qualification or equivalent on the Fire Competency Framework and membership of the IFE or similar registration. And if you’re both CSCS and CDM qualified with a Level 4 diploma (fire inspectors) or equivalent then even better.

With clearly demonstrable inspection, assessment and fire safety consultancy experience, you can help ensure the safe delivery of a wide variety of consultation projects, demonstrating how you have inspected, collaborated and influenced in a multi-disciplinary environment with engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and project teams.

We need excellent communication, numerical and analytical skills, backed up with the confidence to positively challenge clients, agree and define solutions and ensure projects progress within the necessary fire and safety guidelines.
