**The Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Safety Consultant, located in the Midlands to join our expanding and successful consultancy team. The focus of this role is to undertake fire risk assessments and fire safety audits together with providing consultancy support and advice to our clients.

The work will mainly involve attending sites across the Midlands area with travel to London on a routine basis likely. Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support and assist work life balance.

**Competencies and Experience**

You will have:

- Nationally recognised fire safety qualifications / training
- Extensive experience in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments _(5 + years)_
- Thorough knowledge of relevant UK fire regulations, guidance and standards
- Ability to review and advise on Fire Strategy documents and issues arising from these
- Proven technical ability
- Good report writing, IT and communication skills

Desirable professional memberships / skills:

- Membership of IFE or IFSM
- Experience producing retrospective fire strategies
- Experience of residential fire risk assessments
- An understanding of smoke control calculations and thermal radiation analyses
- Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate
