**Overview**

Strata Solicitors is currently seeking a Defence Claims Handler to join our team based in Blisworth. In this role, you will be responsible for handling your own caseload of pre-litigated claims brought by third parties for motor and property losses.

**How you'll make an impact**
- Assess liability and build and maintain reserves in accordance with client service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Investigate the merits of third party claims.
- Negotiate with third parties, third party insurers, and third party representatives via telephone and correspondence to reach settlements efficiently.
- Handle third party hire and repair processes.
- Instruction of own repair, hire provision, loss adjusting and investigation support partners.
- Ensure full compliance with office protocols, client service level agreements, and key performance indicators for all claims handled.
- Maintain 100% data integrity compliance on the office case management system for all claims handled.
- Instruct and collaborate with client panel solicitors on litigated claims.
- Adhere to all financial transaction requirements outlined in client service level agreements, key performance indicators, and The Solicitors Accounts Rules.

**About You**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong collaboration skills with peers and managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
