You’ll be known internally as a Defence Claims Handler in our in‑house law firm, Strata Solicitors. You’ll be responsible for efficiently managing a caseload of claims and delivering exceptional client service. Once you’ve passed your probation period, typically 3‑months, you’ll be able to work from home two days per week. Our offices are open between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll work 37.5 hours between those times. To support your career progression, we’ll also contribute financially for you to gain your Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) or a professional legal qualification.How you’ll make an impactOur clients may have had a car accident or a car stolen, and they’ll phone you to help them with their insurance claim. It’ll be your job to work with the ‘claimant’ and the insurance company to gather all evidence, establish liability, and quantify the claim to achieve swift settlement.Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously, and promptlyDevelop relationships with clients by providing a friendly and efficient serviceMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date information on our claims system at all timesAdhere to all regulatory requirementsAbout YouYou’re a fast learner and able to make sound decisions quicklyYou’ll be able to negotiate and influence people both in writing and over the phoneYou’ll be confident using the phone to get updates and resolve disputesYou work well independently and as part of a teamYou have attention to detail and can effectively focus on tasks in a fast‑paced environment.You take pride and ownership of your work and have a ‘can do’ attitudeCompensation and benefitsOn top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
