Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (just 15 minutes outside of Croydon, easily commutable from London)

Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home - enhanced by variable core hours

We’re on the hunt for an incredibly talented Merchandiser to join our B&M team, and support in the delivery of our exciting plans. This person will be an expert in their field with a solid understanding of what ‘great’ looks like when it comes to functionality and process but will also be ambitious and driven in leading improvements and striving for maximum productivity.

The role
- Support the definition of processes and policies, supply business rules and procedures, and communicate the contexts in which the rules, processes and polices are applied
- Help improve the business performances by identifying the problematic areas
- Accurately represent their business units’ needs to the project team
- Provide input to test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results
- Provide input into and execute user documentation and training material
- Test the product(s) or service(s) towards the end of the project/program (user acceptance testing), using and evaluating it for accuracy and usability, providing feedback to the project team
- Be committed to the project and participate in the workshops
- Be proactive and engaged during the workshops
- Act as the “go to” person within a department or function for questions and problems within their area of expertise
- Evangelise the change/s to their department peers and help bring colleagues on the journey for change
- Embed process changes within their function

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Proven success as a Merchandiser within Fashion retail
- Experience using a WSSI is essential
- Working knowledge of a Product Information Management solution would be a bonus
- Organised and methodical approach
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated, with keen attention to detail
- Applies best practice with a touch of pragmatism
- Enjoys accountability, is proactive and manages workload effectively in a fast pace environment
- Leads the team by example
- A real team player with flexible and collaborative approach
- Builds positive and constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Demonstrates energy and resourcefulness in addressing business needs and requirements
- Objective and effective decision making, underpinned by facts and data
- Focuses on delivering best possible outcome, adding value for the business and the customer
- Has a positive and proactive approach
