The post holder will be agile, working from home, or in an agile working space in the Guildhall according to business need, and attend schools and sites when required. The post holder will be a Delivery Group and Board member and will be highly engaged in the strategic planning of the programme and projects. The post holder will be required to deputise for the Team Manager when required for the development and successful delivery of the Quality in Education (QEd) /Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, including to lead the programme's team, with the authority and responsibility to run the programme on a day-to-day basis and manage relevant staff and the wider programme team. The post holder will line manage the project planning officers (currently five), in line with the corporate and directorate performance framework. They will have full responsibility for the leadership, management, resource planning, and delivery of assigned project(s). The post holder will have at least one major project at any one time that could extend up to a five-year period. The post holder will identify and influence resource requirements and stakeholders and establish, manage and direct multi disciplined project teams for the implementation of projects adopting project management principles to ensure delivery to programme, profile and budget.
