We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Assistance to join the property team here at Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa.

One of the most varied roles in the hotel, you will be on hand to jump in and fix issues in guest rooms to make sure they have a faultless stay, make sure our spa and gym are operating seamlessly and that public areas look as fresh as they did on day one.

We are looking to recruit a motivated Maintenance Assistant, key responsibilities involve:

- Responding to any calls regarding the maintenance and repair of hotel equipment.
- carry out routine spot checks of equipment
- assisting with all pro-active and re-active maintenance.
- responsible for the overall maintenance of the building
- Painting & decorating
- Carry out fault finding and minor repair
- Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure that the Hotel, Spa and Club are kept to the highest of standards.
- Carry out work as required on the exterior of the property
- Manage requests promptly, helpfully, politely and with a caring attitude
- Ensure that safety standards are being followed at all times
- Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas outside the hotel.

**The skills and experience required as Maintenance Handy Person are**:

- Previous working experience in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective and clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with other departments and hotel guests.
- A key trade would be desirable

**The perfect person**:

- We’re looking for someone who loves fixing things.

You should be capable of painting, grouting, minor repairs, replacing light fixtures and be able to turn your hand to most routine maintenance tasks.

You will come into contact with customers so it’s important that you are presentable and have a confident and friendly personality.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE DOES REQUIRE THE TEAM MEMBER TO WORK ONE WEEKEND A MONTH**

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£25,500.00 per year
