**Maintenance Assistant** - Full Time

**Requirement: Valid driving license and own vehicle**

We are on the search for a full time skilled and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team. You will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining company premises across Cheshire. You will be responsible for identifying the need for repairs, responding to maintenance requests, and PAT testing of company equipment.

As we support children and young adults with Autism, flexibility is important due to the nature of the business, so the ability to work some weekend/evening hours, start early or work late if required is preferred. In exchange we are a supportive employer and there is capacity to work hours to give a great work home life balance.

**Working Hours**:
**Full time**: 37.5 hours - will include some weekend and evening work.

**Salary**: £11.67

**Responsibilities**:

- Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
- Minor electrical
- Minor plumbing and carpentry
- Clearing or cleaning general areas
- Shifting furniture or equipment
- Assembling furniture or equipment
- Garden/landscape installation and maintenance
- Footpath maintenance
- Painting and decorating
- Clearing gutters
- Maintaining property exterior through the different seasons

**Requirements**:

- Valid driving license and own vehicle.
- Minimum of grade C GCSE in Maths & English.
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Extremely organised with good communication skills.
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- H&S Qualifications & Asbestos awareness is preferred.
